Aston Villa will take on Tottenham Hotspur as they travel to North London to secure all three points to climb up the league table. The Villans come into the match after a 1-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers, so they must step up this weekend to fulfil their goals.
Unai Emery will probably opt for a 4-4-2 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI for this contest. Boubacar Kamara should get to play from the start as Bertrand Troare drops to the bench.
4-4-2 Aston Villa Predicted XI Vs Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
After failing to keep a clean sheet in his last outing, Emiliano Martinez will continue to function in goal for the Villans. Tyrone Mings will resume his centre-back partnership with Diego Carlos at the heart of Villa’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay throughout the game.
Ezri Konsa will put in a tireless display as the right-back, while Alex Moreno proves his worth on the other side as the left-back. They must defend their penalty box well and try to create some decent chances going forward.
Lucas Digne will offer cover for the defensive positions as they take a spot on the bench.
Midfield
Douglas Luiz will anchor the midfield alongside Boubacar Kamara as they focus on dominating the midfield battle and creating inviting chances for their teammates in the final third.
John McGinn will try to be productive for the West Midlands club on the right flank. Jacob Ramsey will try to give a good account of himself as a left-sided wide player, while Emi Buendia continues as the primary playmaker looking to be productive in front of the goal.
Attack
Ollie Watkins and Emi Buendia will lead the charge against the opposition on the attacking end of the field. Both of them would be eager to find the back of the net when they lace up to face off against the opposition defenders this weekend.
Bertrand Traore will take a spot on the bench while waiting for a chance to shine in the second half.
