In a recent report, RMC Sport claimed that Manchester United are leading the race for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani. It is understood that the Red Devils along with Bayern Munich are in pole position to sign the France international but could face competition from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in pursuit of him.
Kolo Muani’s Excellent Record At The Deutsche Bank Park
Kolo Muani is having a great campaign at Frankfurt as he has put in a series of productive performances as the focal point of their attack. The French sensation has found the back of the net on 21 occasions and picked up 15 assists in 42 matches for the German club this season on all fronts.
The 24-year-old has been a consistent performer on the attacking end of the field based on his average of 2.3 shots, 1.2 key passes and 2.2 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. However, he lacks quality when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after making just 67.1% of his attempted passes in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Deutsche Bank Park will expire in the summer of 2027. Thus, Man United will have to pay a big fee if they are serious about securing the services of the French striker this summer.
Is Kolo Muani A Decent Choice For Manchester United Boss Erik Ten Hag?
Kolo Muani is proficient at finding space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has proven his worth as a prolific goal-scorer in the Bundesliga and can also set up some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
The French forward can even time his runs well in behind the opponent’s backline. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also function as a winger on either flank if needed.
Someone with Kolo Muani’s skillset will no doubt be a decent choice for the Red Devils to consider this summer. He is good enough to add some much-needed firepower to Man United head coach Erik ten Hag‘s attack.
At 24, Kolo Muani will only get better in the coming seasons and has what it takes to help the Mancunian giants challenge for some major silverware in the not-too-distant future.
