Chelsea welcomed Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they looked to secure a win in the final home game of their Premier League campaign. The Blues made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the ninth minute when Anthony Gordon found the back of the net. However, Kieran Trippier scored an unfortunate own goal for the visitors which meant that Chelsea went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
The Blues failed to score the winning goal in the second 45 minutes and were held to a 1-1 draw at home.

The Spanish goalie made some important stops at the back but won’t be pleased after shipping in an early goal.

He got stuck in with plenty of solid tackles but struggled to make an impact going forward.

Chalobah made some solid tackles and was accurate with his passing.
CB: Thiago Silva – 7/10
The Brazilian talent cleared the danger when needed and was a dominant presence in the air.
LB: Lewis Hall – 7/10
Hall gave a good account of himself at both ends of the field.
CM: Enzo Fernandez – 7/10
The Argentine talent earned the ball back twice and had some lively moments in the Newcastle half.
CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 6.5/10
Loftus-Cheek made a couple of encouraging runs with the ball but failed to be decisive in the final third.
RW: Noni Madueke – 7.5/10
Madueke caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders but there was no goal for him today.
CAM: Conor Gallagher – 6.5/10
He came back to defend when needed but offered very little in the final third.
LW: Raheem Sterling – 7.5/10
Sterling was a constant menace on the left flank but failed to finish off his chances.
ST: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10
He made two good chances on the attacking end of the pitch.
