Chelsea locked horns with Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Blues made a poor start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the sixth minute when Casemiro found the back of the net. Anthony Martial doubled the home team’s advantage in the dying embers of the first half as Chelsea went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Bruno Fernandes got his name on the scoresheet from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute before Marcus Rashford added another goal just five minutes later. Joao Felix scored a late goal for the Blues as the contest finished with Frank Lampard’s men suffering a dismal 4-1 defeat away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the match against Manchester United.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6/10

The Spanish keeper made a few crucial saves at the back but still ended up conceding four goals tonight.

RB: Cesar Azpilicueta – 7/10

He worked hard at both ends of the field but his efforts were not enough in the end.

CB: Wesley Fofana – 4.5/10

Fofana was far from convincing at the back and conceded a cheap penalty in the second half.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 6/10

He struggled to keep the Man United attackers quiet and produced an underwhelming display at the centre of Lampard’s defence.

LB: Lewis Hall – 7.5/10

He came back to defend when needed and was a constant menace in the opposition half.

CM: Carney Chukwuemeka – 6.5/10

Chukwuemeka had a few bright moments in the game but was replaced in the 81st minute.

CM: Enzo Fernandez – 7/10

He anchored the midfield well at times and made some driving runs with the ball.

CM: Conor Gallagher – 5/10

Gallagher was quiet for most of the game and did well to last 81 minutes.

RW: Noni Madueke – 6/10

He made a couple of good runs with the ball but was lackluster in the final third.

ST: Kai Havertz –  6/10

The German attacker had a few strikes at goal but never looked like he would score.

LW: Mykhailo Mudryk – 7/10

Mudryk used his pace well out on the flanks but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.

Substitutes:

RW: Christian Pulisic – 6/10

He offered very little after coming off the bench.

ST: Joao Felix – 7/10

Felix managed to score Chelsea’s only goal late in the game.

CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – N/A

He didn’t get enough time to make an impact.

RW: Hakim Ziyech – N/A

Ziyech came on for the final few minutes of the contest.

ST: David Datro Fofana – N/A

He hardly had any time to influence the game.
