Felix Leads The Line, Silva To Start | 4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted XI Vs Newcastle United

On Sunday night, Stamford Bridge will be the venue for Chelsea to encounter Newcastle United as the Blues aim to conclude their season with a victory. Following a disappointing 4-1 loss against Manchester United in their previous match, Chelsea face the challenge of regrouping and finding their form despite enduring a challenging campaign. With the season nearing its end, the Blues are determined to bounce back and end on a positive note by securing a win against Newcastle United.

Frank Lampard will probably opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI for this contest. Joao Felix could get the nod over Kai Havertz on the attacking end, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek replaces Carney Chukwuemeka in the midfield. Thiago Silva could be pushing for a start this weekend, so Trevoh Chalobah would have to make way for him in the backline.

Defence

Despite shipping in four goals in his last outing against the Red Devils, Kepa Arrizabalaga will continue to function in between the sticks for the Blues. Thiago Silva will form a customary centre-half partnership with Wesley Fofana at the heart of Chelsea’s backline as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.

Cesar Azpilicueta will operate as the right back, while Lewis Hall hopes to catch the eye on the opposite flank. Both of them would be eager to make a difference for the West London club out on the flanks.

Midfield

Conor Gallagher, Enzo Fernandez and Ruben Loftus Cheek will function in the midfield as they try to dominate the ball and engineer enough chances for the Blues to come out on top this weekend.

N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic remain sidelined due to injuries, so Lampard will have to make do without midfield replacements on the bench.

Attack

Mykhailo Mudryk will operate on the left wing, while Noni Madueke hopes to put his pace to good use on the right.

Joao Felix will lead the line for the West London club on the attacking end of the field. The Portuguese forward will be playing his last game at Stamford Bridge unless the Blues offer him a permanent contract.

Kai Havertz will be named on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to impress in the latter stages of the game if the London club are in need of a goal by then.
