Barcelona clashed heads with Real Valladolid at the Estadio José Zorrilla earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result on the road. The Catalan outfit made a horror start to the game as Andreas Christensen scored an unfortunate own goal. The home team doubled their advantage in the 22nd minute thanks to Cyle Larin’s penalty. Barca went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Gonzalo Plata killed the game off in the 73rd minute before Robert Lewandowski scored a late consolation goal for Barcelona. The contest ended with Xavi’s men suffering a poor 3-1 loss away from home.

De Jong was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got an assist to show for his efforts for setting up Lewandowski’s late goal.

Raphinha was a constant menace in the final third but was toothless in front of the opponent’s goal.
