In a recent report, journalist Dean Jones stated that Arsenal are facing tough competition from Tottenham Hotspur in the race to land Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. It has been claimed that the Gunners have identified the English centre-back as a target for the upcoming transfer window.
Guehi’s Consistent Season In South London
Guehi is experiencing a solid campaign at Selhurst Park as he has been responsible for producing a run of impressive displays at the centre of Palace’s defence. The 22-year-old has scored one goal in 39 matches for the Eagles this season across various competitions.
The English sensation has been a reliable performer on the defensive third of the pitch based on his average of 1.4 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 3.6 clearances per 90 minutes in the Premier League. His current contract at the London club is set to run out in the summer of 2026. Therefore, it won’t be easy for Arsenal to win the race to secure Guehi’s services in this off-season.
