Celtic will clash heads with Hibernian at Easter Road this Wednesday night as they try to collect maximum points on the road in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops were held to a 2-2 draw by St. Mirren recently, so they will be eager to get back to winning ways this week.
Angelos Postecoglou will opt for a 4-3-3 formation and could be inclined to keep changes to a minimum for this game away from home. Hence, we can once again expect to see Kyogo Furuhashi lead the charge for the Glaswegian side in the final third.
4-3-3 Celtic Predicted Lineup To Face Hibernian
Defence
Joe Hart will operate in between the sticks for the Glaswegian club after shipping in a couple of goals in his last league outing. Carl Starfelt will function alongside Tomoki Iwata at the centre of Celtic‘s backline as they try to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Anthony Ralston will play as the right-back while Greg Taylor looks to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them would be given the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Scott Bain will offer cover for the goalkeeping position on the bench.
Midfield
Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley will make up Celtic’s midfield as they focus on establishing their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Ben Summers will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the second half if Postecoglou decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Daizen Maeda will get another opportunity to catch the eye on the left flank while Jota looks to threaten the opposition’s goal from the right.
Kyogo Furuhashi will lead the charge for the Hoops in the final third. He managed to score a goal versus St. Mirren recently which will give him confidence going into this clash at Easter Road.
Sead Haksabanovic and James Forrest will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the visitors are in need of a goal by then.
