Tottenham Hotspur returns to action on Sunday as they travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool, hoping to secure their place in the top six. The Lilywhites managed to hold Manchester United to a 2-2 draw in their last outing, so they will be eager to produce a better result in this weekend’s contest.
Christian Stellini will probably set his side up in a 3-4-3 formation and is expected to make a single change in the starting XI. Dejan Kulusevski should push for a start this weekend as Richarlison drops to the bench.
3-4-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI Vs Liverpool
Defence
Fraser Forster will continue to function in goal for Spurs in the absence of Hugo Lloris. Clement Lenglet, Eric Dier and Cristian Romero will make Tottenham’s back three as they focus on stopping the Liverpool attackers from causing problems throughout the game.
Davinson Sanchez will take a spot on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp will continue to anchor the midfield for Spurs as they try to establish dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Pedro Porro will look to impress on the right flank, while Ivan Perisic looks to put in a productive performance as the left wing-back. Both of them will need to work hard at both ends of the field if Tottenham are to come out on top in this crucial fixture.
Pape Matar Sarr will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
Attack
Heung-min Son will remain on the left wing, while Dejan Kulusevski starts on the right flank. Harry Kane will spearhead Tottenham’s attack on his own up top and will be fancying his chances of finding the back of the net.
Richarlison and Arnaut Danjuma will be available for selection on the bench as they wait to impact in the second half if required.
