Leeds United faced off against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result away from home in the Premier League. The Whites made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 35th minute when Gabriel Jesus converted from the spot. The West Yorkshire club went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Ben White scored for Arsenal in the 47th minute before Jesus got his name on the scoresheet once again just eight minutes later. Rasmus Kristensen got a goal back for Leeds in the 76th minute. However, Mikel Arteta’s men were too good on the day as they scored their fourth goal late in the game via Granit Xhaka’s effort. Leeds United ended up losing the contest by a 4-1 margin.

Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player fared during the match against the Gunners.

GK: Ilan Meslier – 5/10

Meslier made a couple of solid saves at the back but won’t be happy after allowing four goals today.

RB: Luke Ayling – 5.5/10

He tried his best to keep things solid at the back and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Robin Koch – 6/10

Koch earned the ball back a few times but still ended up conceding four times this afternoon.

CB: Pascal Struijk – 5.5/10

He was far from convincing at the back but was tidy with his ball distribution.

LB: Junior Firpo – 6/10

He came back to defend when needed but offered very little going forward.

CM: Rasmus Kristensen – 7/10

Kristensen was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got a second-half goal to show for his efforts.

CM: Marc Roca – 6.5/10

The Spaniard anchored the midfield with conviction and made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Jack Harrison – 6/10

He struggled to get into the flow of the game.

RW: Luis Sinisterra – 6.5/10

Sinisterra got stuck in with some crunching tackles and made one good chance in the opponent’s half.

ST: Brenden Aaronson – 6.5/10

He caused a few headaches for the Arsenal defenders but failed to register a goal.

LW: Crysencio Summerville – 6/10

Summerville had a few bright moments in the game but struggled to finish off his chances.

Substitutes:

CAM: Rodrigo – 6/10

The Spanish sensation offered very little after coming off the bench.

CM: Weston McKennie – 6/10

He added some energy to Leeds’ midfield.

CB: Liam Cooper – 6.5/10

Cooper was solid at the back.

ST: Georginio Rutter – 6/10

He made two decent runs with the ball.

ST: Patrick Bamford – N/A

Bamford didn’t get enough time to influence the game.
