Celtic will entertain Motherwell at Celtic Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to earn all three points at home in the Scottish Premiership. The Glaswegian side managed to secure an impressive 4-1 win away at Kilmarnock recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.

Angelos Postecoglou will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and could keep changes to a minimum this weekend. Hence, we can once again expect to see Kyogo Furuhashi lead the charge for Celtic on the attacking third of the pitch.

4-2-3-1 Celtic Predicted Lineup To Face Motherwell

Defence

Joe Hart will play in between the sticks for the Glaswegian side after conceding just one goal in his last outing. Yuki Kobayashi will operate alongside Carl Starfelt at the centre of the Celtic backline as they hope to keep things tidy on the defensive end of the field this weekend.

Alistair Johnston will function as the right-back while Greg Taylor hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to catch the eye out in the wide areas.

Stephen Welsh will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Callum McGregor will play along with Tomoki Iwata at the centre of Celtic’s midfield as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles in the middle of the pitch. The talented trio of Daizen Maeda, Matt O’Riley and Sead HakÅ¡abanović will function just ahead of them as part of Postecoglou’s attack.

O’Riley scored a brace while Maeda also got his name on the scoresheet versus Kilmarnock recently, so we can expect them to carry some of the goal-scoring burden for Celtic in the final third.

Rocco Vata and Ben Summers will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if needed.

Attack

Kyogo Furuhashi will once again spearhead Postecoglou’s attack up top. He has enjoyed a good run of form of late and would be eager to make a difference for the Glaswegian outfit this Saturday.

Oh Hyeon-gyu will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if Celtic are in need of a goal by then.
