Everton will take on Crystal Palace as they travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday, hoping to grab all three points to avoid relegation. The Toffees will come into the match on the back of a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Fulham, so they will have to pick up on their form with only a few fixtures remaining this season.
Sean Dyche will probably revert to a 4-5-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI. Dominic Calvert-Lewin should get a chance to play from the start after recovering from his injuries, while Tom Davies and Nathan Patterson push for a start this weekend.
4-5-1 Everton Predicted XI Vs Crystal Palace
Defence
Pickford will continue to feature between the sticks for the Toffees, hoping to keep a clean sheet after conceding three goals versus Fulham in his last league outing. James Tarkowski will form the centre-half partnership with Michael Keane at the heart of Everton’s backline as they focus on keeping things tidy at the back throughout the game.
Nathan Patterson will try to put in a tireless display at the right-back position while Vitaliy Mykolenko fills in as the left-back. They will have to defend their penalty box well to stop the opposition attackers from creating too many chances inside their halves.
Mason Holgate will be available for selection on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Idrissa Gueye, Alex Iwobi and Tom Davies will anchor the midfield as they look to dominate possession in the central areas. All three of them will need to protect their backline from the opposition attackers.
Dwight McNeil will keep his place on the left flank while Demarai Gray looks to catch the eye as the right-sided wide player.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Dyche’s attack on his own up top. He will have to find a way to cause a few headaches for the United defenders in the final third.
Ellis Simms should take a spot on the bench, waiting for his chance to shine in the second half.
