West Ham United clashed heads with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park earlier today as they hoped to secure a positive result on the road. The Hammers made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the ninth-minute courtesy of Tomas Soucek’s goal.

However, Jordan Ayew equalised for the home side just six minutes later before Wilfried Zaha gave them the lead in the 20th minute. Jeffrey Schlupp made it 3-1 to Crystal Palace at the half-hour mark. However, Michail Antonio got a goal back for West Ham soon after as they went into the half-time break 3-2 down on the scoreline.

Eberechi Eze made it 4-2 for the Eagles from the penalty spot in the 66th minute. However, David Moyes’ men made things interesting as Nayef Aguerd got his name on the scoresheet just six minutes later. The match ended with the Hammers crashing to a hard-fought 4-3 loss in the London derby.

Let’s take a look at how each West Ham United player fared during the match against the Eagles.

GK: Lukasz Fabianski – 5.5/10

The Polish keeper made a couple of decent saves at the back but conceded four goals today.

RB: Vladimir Coufal – 6/10

He did his fair share of defending and made one key chance going forward.

CB: Kurt Zouma – 6/10

Zouma conceded a goal early in the game and was substituted in the 18th minute.

CB: Nayef Aguerd – 7/10

He did his best to contain the Palace attackers but it was not enough in the end. Aguerd was a threat in front of the opponent’s goal and has got a goal to show for his efforts.

LB: Emerson Palmieri – 6.5/10

Emerson came back to defend when he could and managed to create two good chances in the final third.

CM: Tomas Soucek – 7/10

Soucek anchored the midfield well at times but made some poor errors of judgment as well. He ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.

CM: Declan Rice – 6.5/10

The English sensation earned the ball back twice but offered very little going forward.

RW: Jarrod Bowen – 6/10

Bowen struggled to influence the game in the final third and never looked like he would score.

CAM: Lucas Paqueta – 6/10

Paqueta came back to defend at times but failed to threaten the opponent’s goal.

LW: Pablo Fornals – 6/10

He produced a lackluster display in the first half and was substituted at half-time.

ST: Michail Antonio – 7.5/10

Antonio caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders and managed to find the back of the net in the 35th minute.

CB: Angelo Ogbonna – 6/10

He failed to keep things tidy on the defensive end of the pitch.

LW: Said Benrahma – 6/10

Benrahma offered very little in the final third.

LB: Aaron Cresswell – 6/10

He managed to catch the eye at times when defending at the back.

ST: Danny Ings – 6/10

Ings failed to threaten the Palace goal.

ST: Maxwel Cornet – N/A

He hardly had any time to make an impact.
