Newcastle United will face off against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday as they try to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to secure a 5-1 win away at West Ham United recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is likely to name a strong team for this game. Alexander Isak could get a chance to impress from the start while Callum Wilson drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Nick Pope will operate in between the sticks for the Magpies after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Sven Botman will resume his defensive partnership with Fabian Schar at the heart of Newcastle’s defence as they hope to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Kieran Trippier will function as the right-back while Dan Burn hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would have to keep a solid shape at the back and try to create some decent chances from the wide areas.
Jamaal Lascelles will be available for selection on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Joe Willock, Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
Willock will be the one who would look to make some driving runs with the ball in and around the Brentford penalty box.
Elliot Anderson will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Howe opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Joelinton will be given a chance to catch the eye on the left flank while Jacob Murphy tries to put in a hard-working shift on the right.
Alexander Isak will lead the line for the Tyneside club in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet once again after being rested on the bench in midweek.
