Liverpool will face off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Tuesday night as they try to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a disappointing 4-1 loss at the hands of Manchester City recently, so they would be desperate for the three points in this midweek clash.

Jurgen Klopp will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make a couple of tweaks to his first XI for this game. Darwin Nunez and Kostas Tsimikas will play from the start of this contest while Diogo Jota and Andrew Robertson make way for them and drop to the bench.

Defence

Alisson Becker will function in goal for the Merseyside giants after shipping in four goals in his last league appearance. Ibrahima Konate will operate alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they focus on stopping the Chelsea attackers from scoring in midweek.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will retain his spot at right-back while Kostas Tsimikas gets a chance to impress as the left-back. Both of them will have to defend their lines well and also, create some decent goal-scoring chances from the wide areas.

Andrew Robertson and Joel Matip will be available for selection on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.

Both Henderson and Elliott have to find a way to engineer a few promising chances for the Reds in the final third.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if Klopp decides to call upon his services.

Attack

Darwin Nunez will get the nod to impress as the left-sided wide player while Mohamed Salah hopes to be productive on the right flank.

Cody Gakpo will lead the charge for the Merseyside club in the final third. The Dutch forward has to find a way to cause a few headaches for the Chelsea defenders.

Diogo Jota will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages of the game if required.
