Barcelona will welcome Real Betis at the Nou Camp this weekend as they focus on collecting maximum points at home in La Liga. The Catalan club suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Rayo Vallecano recently which has halted their momentum ahead of this clash.
Xavi will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and could opt to make a couple of tweaks to his starting XI for this game. Both Jordi Alba and Frenkie de Jong are expected to play from the start of this contest in La Liga.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Real Betis
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will function in between the sticks for Barca after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Jules Kounde will get a chance to impress alongside Ronald Araujo at the heart of Xavi’s defence as they try to keep the opposition frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Alejandro Balde could fill in as a makeshift right-back while Jordi Alba focuses on putting in a good display on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to be adventurous with their runs out on the flanks if Barcelona want to create enough chances to win this clash.
Eric Garcia will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Pedri, Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong will make up Barcelona’s midfield as they look to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to find a way to engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Franck Kessie will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if Xavi decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Gavi will operate as the left-sided wide player while Raphinha looks to make a difference on the right flank.
Robert Lewandowski will once again spearhead Barcelona’s attack up top. He managed to get his name on the scoresheet late in the game against Rayo Vallecano which should give him some much-needed confidence ahead of this game.
Ansu Fati will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if needed.
