In a recent report, Defensa Central mentioned that Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is on the radar of Manchester United. It has been revealed that the Red Devils are eyeing a big move to sign the French talent from Los Blancos.

Camavinga’s Impressive Season In Spanish Football So Far

Camavinga is having a solid campaign at the Madrid club as he has managed to perform at a consistent level for them in La Liga. The France international has made 39 appearances for Real Madrid this season, picking up one assist in various competitions.

The 20-year-old has caught the eye at times with his performances at the centre of the park by averaging 1.6 tackles, 0.6 shots, 0.6 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball from midfield, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 91.7% in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current deal with Los Blancos is set to run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, there is no immediate need for Carlo Ancelotti to cash in on him at the end of this campaign.

Can Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Afford To Lose Camavinga?

Camavinga is a good tackler and can read the danger quickly to secure the ball back for his team in the middle of the park. He doesn’t mind clearing the danger when his teammates need him to do so and can also make a few powerful runs with the ball in the opponent’s half. However, the French whizkid needs to find a way to improve his productivity in the final third if he wants to become a world-class, two-way midfielder someday.

At such a tender age, Camavinga has already begun to showcase what he is capable of and could go on to become a future star at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. He has offered decent competition for Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Ceballos for a regular starting spot at the Madrid club this season.

Thus, Carlo Ancelotti simply cannot afford to let Camavinga go in the off-season. He is already a crucial member of Real Madrid‘s squad and could go on to replace Luka Modric as a first-team starter over the next couple of years. Hence, the Madrid giants would be better off keeping hold of him if they want to continue to dominate Spanish and European football in the long run.
