In a recent report, Defensa Central claimed that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Celta de Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga. It has been revealed that Los Blancos are keen on landing the Spanish talent during the summer transfer window.

Veiga’s Impressive Rise At The The Estadio Municipal de Balaídos This Season

Veiga is enjoying an impressive season in Spanish football after he put in a series of productive performances for his current club on the attacking end of the field. The Spanish attacker has found the back of the net on nine occasions and earned three assists in 29 matches for Celta Vigo this season across various competitions.

The gifted prospect has caught the eye with his contributions in the final third and deserves a ton of credit for averaging 1.9 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per game in La Liga. He has even been careful when distributing possession in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 79% in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at Celta Vigo is set to run out in the summer of 2026. Therefore, Real Madrid would have to make a big offer if they are serious about recruiting him later this year.

Real Madrid Are Keeping Tabs On Veiga: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Veiga can shoot the ball with venom and precision from long range and has got the eye to play a few decisive passes on the offensive end of the pitch. He can even make a few dangerous runs with the ball in the opposition’s half. The Spanish sensation is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also function as a box-to-box midfielder if his manager asks him to do so.

Veiga has already shown plenty of promising signs during his time at Celta Vigo this season. He will be an excellent, long-term acquisition for Los Blancos to consider during the summer transfer period.

At 20, the future is quite bright for the Spaniard as long as he continues to work hard on getting better with each year. He has what it takes to earn a regular starting spot in Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti‘s first XI in the future. All in all, there is no doubt that Veiga is a prospect to watch out for in the coming seasons, so the Madrid giants should focus on snapping him up soon.
