Tottenham Hotspur faced off against Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road. Spurs made a solid start to the game and opened the goal-scoring in the first half injury-time courtesy of Pedro Porro’s effort. Antonio Conte’s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Southampton equalised via Che Adams’ goal just one minute into the second half. However, Harry Kane restored his team’s lead in the 65th minute before Ivan Perisic made it 3-0 to Tottenham just nine minutes later. However, the home team came roaring back and managed to get themselves level thanks to Theo Walcott’s goal and James Ward-Prowse’s penalty late in the game. The contest ended with the North London club being held to a tough 3-3 draw away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham Hotspur player fared during the match against the Saints.

GK: Fraser Forster – 6.5/10

Forster made a few decent saves at the back but still ended up conceding three goals today.

CB: Cristian Romero – 6.5/10

The Argentine defender didn’t do much wrong at the back and made one good run with the ball.

CB: Eric Dier – 6/10

Dier cleared the danger when required but was far from convincing at the back.

CB: Clement Lenglet – 7/10

Lenglet worked hard defensively but his efforts were not enough for the win today.
