In a recent report, Bild mentioned that Manchester United are set to launch a £106m move for Eintracht Frankfurt ace Randal Kolo Muani. It is understood that the Red Devils are eyeing a huge move to secure the services of the France international.
Kolo Muani’s Impressive Form In Bundesliga This Season
Kolo Muani has been enjoying a rich vein of form at Frankfurt during this campaign as he has produced several productive performances as the spearhead of their attack. The French centre-forward has registered 16 goals and 14 assists in 34 matches for the German club this season on all fronts.
The 24-year-old has been a consistent performer on the attacking end of the pitch based on his average of 2.0 shots, 1.0 key passes and 1.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. However, he needs to work on improving his ball distribution in the opponent’s half after completing 65.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
The Bondy-born striker is under contract at the German club until the summer of 2027. Thus, Man United would find it difficult to lure him away to English football at the end of this season.
Is Kolo Muani A Good Option For Manchester United Boss Erik Ten Hag?
Kolo Muani is proficient at finding space for himself to get some strikes at goal. He has proven his worth as a prolific presence in front of the opponent’s goal. The French sensation can also engineer a few decent chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. He can also use his strong 1.87m frame to win his fair share of aerial duels and is a good dribbler with the ball as well.
Kolo Muani is primarily a centre-forward but can also function as a wide player on either flank if his manager asks him to do so. We can expect him to bring more firepower to Man United boss Erik ten Hag’s attack as long as he can make a smooth transition to life in English football.
He is good enough to rival Marcus Rashford for a regular starting spot at Old Trafford and could even serve as a good replacement for Wout Weghorst who has struggled to be consistent with his offensive numbers at the Mancunian club.
At 24, Kolo Muani has got his best years ahead of him which makes him an excellent option for the Red Devils to consider when the transfer window commences at the end of this season.
