Liverpool faced off against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a decent start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 28th minute when Philip Billing scored with an easy finish. The Merseyside club failed to mount a comeback and were trailing 1-0 at the half-time break.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were toothless in the second half as they struggled to control the flow of the game. Liverpool ended up crashing to a lackluster 1-0 loss away from home.

GK: Alisson Becker – 6/10

The Brazilian keeper made one solid save during the game but won’t be pleased after allowing a first-half goal.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7/10

He was solid at the back and made two good chances in the final third.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 7/10

The French talent made a lot of important clearances at the back and was a good presence on the ball as well.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 7/10

The Dutch talent didn’t do much wrong when defending inside his half and was a real threat at the other end of the pitch.

He was far from convincing at the back and was lively in the opponent’s half.

CM: Harvey Elliott – 6/10

Elliott gave away the ball cheaply too often in the first half and got replaced at half-time.

CM: Fabinho – 6/10

He got stuck in with a couple of solid tackles but produced an uninspiring performance today.

CM: Stefan Bajcetic – 6/10

Bajcetic showed his inexperience at times and struggled to get into the rhythm of the game.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 5/10

He struggled to cause problems for the Bournemouth defenders and missed his penalty in the second half which cost his team a result.

ST: Cody Gakpo – 6/10

Gakpo worked hard in the final third but was toothless in front of the opponent’s goal.

LW: Darwin Nunez – 6/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the game but never looked like he would score.

Jota was a menace inside the opponent’s penalty area.

He failed to retain possession for his team.

He offered very little after coming off the bench.
