Tottenham Hotspur will take on Southampton as they travel to the St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday, looking to grab all three points from this contest. The Lilywhites come into the match on the back of a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest, so we can expect them to be in high spirits for this away encounter.

Antonio Conte will probably opt for a 3-4-3 formation and is expected to name the same starting XI for this contest. Hence, we can see Harry Kane lead the charge up front while Fraser Forster continues in goal.

Defence

Fraser Forster will continue to feature in goal for the North London outfit in the absence of Hugo Lloris. Conte could name a back three of Clement Lenglet, Eric Dier and Cristian Romero as they try to keep things tidy at the back during the game.

Davinson Sanchez will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp will continue to anchor the midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.

Ben Davies could fill in as a left-sided wide player, while Pedro Porro hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the right wing-back.

Richarlison and Heung-min Son will play as the free-flowing, attacking midfielders as they focus on creating some decent chances for Tottenham on the attacking end of the field. Richarlison has to find a way to cause a few problems for the Southampton centre-backs this weekend.

Pape Matar Sarr, Arnaut Danjuma and Ivan Perisic will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if Conte opts to call upon their services.

Attack

Harry Kane will spearhead the North London club’s attack on his own up top. The English striker would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet versus Nottingham after shooting blanks on his last outing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Dejan Kulusevki will take a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if Spurs are in need of a goal by then.
