Chelsea locked horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a win away from home in the Premier League. The Blues made a solid start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 11th-minute courtesy of Ben Chilwell’s goal. However, Patson Daka equalised for the home team in the 39th minute before Kai Havertz restored Chelsea’s advantage in the first half injury-time. Graham Potter’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.

Mateo Kovacic killed the game off in the 78th minute before Wout Faes was sent off just nine minutes later as the West London club cruised to an impressive 3-1 win on the road.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the clash against the Foxes.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7.5/10

The Spanish keeper made a lot of good saves at the back and did well to restrict the opposition to just one goal.

CB: Wesley Fofana – 7/10

He did his fair share of defending and was a threat in the final third.

CB: Kalidou Koulibaly – 7.5/10

Koulibaly cleared the danger when the Leicester attackers were on the front foot and engineered one good chance going forward. He has got an assist to show for his efforts today.

CB: Marc Cucurella – 7/10

The Spaniard gave a good account of himself when defending at the back and was tidy with his passing.

RM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 7/10

Loftus-Cheek was a real threat in the opponent’s half and managed to create two good chances from the right flank.

CM: Enzo Fernandez – 7.5/10

He got stuck in with some solid tackles at the centre of the park and managed to secure an assist as well today.

CM: Mateo Kovacic – 8/10

Kovacic anchored the midfield well and deserves credit for killing the game off in the 78th minute.

LM: Ben Chilwell – 7.5/10

He orchestrated a few promising opportunities for his teammates to score and got his name on the scoresheet in the 11th minute.

RW: Kai Havertz – 8/10

Havertz worked hard and was a constant menace in the final third. He managed to find the back of the net in the dying embers of the first half.

ST: Mykhailo Mudryk – 7/10

Mudryk had a couple of lively moments in the game and ended the game with an assist to his name.

LW: Joao Felix – 6/10

He had a tough first half and was replaced at the half-time break.

CM: Conor Gallagher – 7.5/10

Gallagher caused a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 6/10

He didn’t do much wrong at the back.

LW: Christian Pulisic – 6/10

Pulisic added some pace to Potter’s attack.

CM: Carney Chukwuemeka – N/A

He hardly had any time to influence the game.

CB: Benoit Badiashile – N/A

Badiashile came on for the final few minutes of the contest.
