Barcelona entertained Real Madrid at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win in the Clasico. The Catalan outfit made a lackluster start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the ninth minute when Ronald Araujo scored an unfortunate own goal. However, Barca responded via Sergi Roberto’s goal just before the half-time break.

The two teams fought tooth and nail in search of the winning goal in the second half. Barcelona finally found it in injury time as Franck Kessie scored with a controlled finish. The contest ended with Xavi’s men earning a hard-fought 1-0 win at home.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the match against Los Blancos.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 6.5/10

The German keeper made a couple of good saves at the back but will be disappointed after conceding early in the game.

RB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10

Araujo did his fair share of defending and made two driving runs with the ball on the right flank. However, he scored an own goal early in the game which didn’t cost his team the win.

CB: Jules Kounde – 7/10

The French talent didn’t do much wrong at the back and was lively on the ball.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 7/10

Christensen dealt with the danger when required and was a threat going forward as well.

LB: Alejandro Balde – 6.5/10

He showed a few signs of what he is capable of and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Sergi Roberto – 7/10

Roberto deserves a lot of credit for scoring Barca’s equaliser in the 76th minute.

CM: Sergio Busquets – 7.5/10

Busquets was not shy of making a tackle and caused a few problems for the opposition defenders.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 8/10

He ran the show at both ends of the field and probably deserves the man of the match award.

RW: Raphinha – 7/10

Raphinha was a constant menace in the final third but failed to register a goal tonight.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 7/10

Lewandowski led the line well for the Catalan club but struggled to finish off any of his chances.

LW: Gavi – 7/10

He made some good runs with the ball on the left wing but never looked like he would score.

Substitutes:

CM: Franck Kessie – 7.5/10

Kessie made an instant impact off the bench and scored the winning goal of the Clasico in injury time.

ST: Ferran Torres – N/A

The Spanish sensation didn’t get enough time to influence the game.

LW: Ansu Fati – N/A

He came on for the final few minutes of the game.
