Real Madrid entertained Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result at home in La Liga. The two Madrid sides canceled each other out in the first half and went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Angel Correa let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 64th minute. However, the ten men of Atletico managed to score the opening goal in the 78th minute when Jose Gimenez found the back of the net. Alvaro Rodriguez equalised for Los Blancos just seven minutes later as the Madrid derby finished with a 1-1 scoreline.
