In a recent report, la Repubblica mentioned that Real Madrid are leading the race to sign Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund. It has been revealed that Los Blancos are hoping to land the Danish striker but could face competition from Arsenal in pursuit of him.

Hojlund’s Decent Numbers In Italian Football This Season

Hojlund is having an impressive campaign at the Italian club as he has managed to put in a series of productive performances as the focal point of their attack. The 20-year-old has banged in seven goals and grabbed two assists in 21 matches for Atalanta this season across all fronts.

The Danish attacker has led the line well and has done well to average 1.7 shots, 1.0 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has even been tidy when distributing the ball in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 75.3% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

His current deal with the Italian side is set to run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, Los Blancos will have to make a sizable offer if they want to secure the services of Hojlund in the summer.

Is Hojlund A Good Option For Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti?

Hojlund excels at engineering space for himself to get some shots in at goal. He has got the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates on the attacking end of the field and is also quite intelligent with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty box.

The Danish talent has developed a knack for scoring some important goals for his team but needs to work on improving his link-up play up top. Standing at 1.91m, he can be a dominant presence inside the opponent’s penalty box and has got the potential to become a future star in European football.

We can expect Hojlund to add more goals to Carlo Ancelotti‘s attack at Real Madrid. The gifted forward is already good enough to serve as a valuable member of Los Blancos‘ squad and could go on to succeed Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the long run. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in Spanish football.

All in all, the Madrid giants should focus on going all out to bring Hojlund to the Spanish capital as he will be an excellent option for them to pursue at the end of this campaign.
