Manchester City clashed heads with Bristol City at the Ashton Gate Stadium earlier tonight as they focused on securing a win on the road in the FA Cup. The Mancunian giants made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the seventh minute when Phil Foden found the back of the net for the visitors. Man City sat on their lead well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Pep Guardiola’s men managed to double their advantage in the 74th minute when Foden got his name on the scoresheet once again before Kevin De Bruyne killed the contest just seven minutes later. Man City ended up securing a comfortable 3-0 win away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player performed during the match against Bristol City.

GK: Stefan Ortega – 7/10

He hardly had anything to do in the first half and was replaced in the 45th minute.

CB: Manuel Akanji – 7.5/10

Akanji cleared the danger when required on the defensive end of the pitch and was good on the ball.

CB: Ruben Dias – 7.5/10

He didn’t do much wrong at the back and was a threat at the other end of the pitch.

CB: Nathan Ake – 7.5/10

Ake earned possession back a few times when defending inside his half and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Kalvin Phillips – 7.5/10

Phillips anchored the midfield with conviction and was unfortunate to hit the post.

RW: Riyad Mahrez – 8/10

The Algerian sensation got stuck in with some crunching tackles and was a constant menace in the final third. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne – 8/10

The Belgian talent caused a lot of problems for the Bristol defenders and got his name on the scoresheet late in the game.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 7/10

Silva worked hard as usual and made one key chance in the opponent’s half. He was replaced in the 87th minute.
