Arsenal will take on Everton as they welcome them to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday for a Premier League encounter. The Gunners maintained their position at the top after just narrowly defeating Leicester City 1-0 while the Toffees slipped back into the relegation zone after suffering a 2-0 loss at the hands of Aston Villa.

Arsenal Vs Everton: Talking Tactics

Mikel Arteta will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this first XI. Hence, we can expect Leandro Trossard to lead the charge for the North London club in the final third. Eddie Nketiah was cut off from the match-day squad in the last outing but will be available for selection this time.

Sean Dyche will probably opt for the 4-1-4-1 formation and would be inclined to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Tom Davies and Demarai Gray could get a chance to impress from the start in this midweek contest in North London.

Team News

Arsenal

As mentioned earlier, Eddie Nketiah was left out of the match-day squad in the last outing due to a possibility of picking up a minor knock but he will be competing to make his way back into the starting XI. The Gunners will remain without the services of Gabriel Jesus and Mohamed Elneny due to their knee injuries while Thomas Partey has returned to the Arsenal bench after recovering from a thigh problem.

Arsenal Predicted XI

Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Trossard

Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still recovering from his latest thigh problem, so he remains doubtful to recover in time for this clash. Andros Townsend will likely need a few more weeks to recover from his serious knee injury too, while Nathan Patterson has suffered a setback and will remain absent for this away encounter. Furthermore, James Garner is slowly coming back to full fitness after his back problem but is unlikely to be ready in time for this contest against the North London club.

Everton Predicted XI

Pickford; Coleman, Tarkowski, Coady, Mykolenko; Gueye; McNeil, Doucoure, Davies, Gray; Maupay
