Arsenal will lock horns with Manchester United as they welcome them to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night looking to grab all three points from this fixture. The Gunners come into the match on the back of a 2-0 victory in the North London derby which will keep their confidence high going into this weekend’s contest.
Mikel Arteta will make use of the 4-3-3 formation keeping the changes to a minimum as he looks to play a strong first XI for this home encounter. Hence, we can expect Eddie Nketiah to continue to lead the line with his rich run of form and Martin Odegaard will look to provide the much-needed creativity in the final third.
4-3-3 Arsenal Predicted XI Vs Manchester United
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will continue to operate in between the sticks for the upcoming fixture. The English shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure another clean sheet in this contest. Gabriel Magalhaes will form the customary centre-half partnership with William Saliba at the heart of Arsenal’s backline.
Oleksandr Zinchenko will keep his place at the left-back position alongside Ben White, who will fill in on the other flank, as the right-back. The duo would be looking to stretch the opposition’s backline and create meaningful chances for the frontmen.
Keiran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu will wait for their chance to shine in the second half if Arteta calls upon their services.
Midfield
Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard will form the midfield trio, with the former occupying a more defensive role while the latter will be tasked with engineering some clear-cut goal-scoring chances in the final third.
Albert Sambi Lokonga will take his place on the bench to provide cover for the midfield positions.
Attack
As mentioned earlier, Eddie Nketiah will lead the line on his own up top to get his name on the scoresheet again as he looks to continue with his rich run of form.
Nketiah will be accompanied by Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on either side, playing on the left and right-wing, respectively. Both of them will be hoping to produce decent opportunities in front of the goal and provide support from the wide areas.
Emile Smith Rowe might come on in the latter half of the match if the Gunners are in need of a goal by then.
