Newcastle United locked horns with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result away from home in the Premier League. The Magpies were solid in the first half and managed to get to the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.

The Tyneside giants defended their penalty box really well in the second 45 minutes and earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the English capital.

Let’s take a look at how each Newcastle United player fared during the match against the Gunners.

GK: Nick Pope – 7.5/10

The English talent made a few crucial saves at the back and secured a well-deserved clean sheet away from home.

RB: Kieran Trippier – 7.5/10

He got stuck in with some crunching tackles and managed to create a few decent chances in the final third.

CB: Fabian Schar – 7.5/10

Schar did his fair share of defending to keep Newcastle’s clean sheet intact. He was also good on the ball.

CB: Sven Botman – 7/10

He didn’t take too many chances when putting his foot through the ball on the defensive third of the pitch. Botman will be quite happy with the clean sheet tonight.

CM: Joe Willock – 6.5/10

Willock completed a couple of decent dribbles but failed to make an impact in the final third.

RW: Miguel Almiron – 6.5/10
