Real Madrid entertained Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result at home in La Liga. Los Blancos made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

The Madrid giants kept the pressure on the visitors in the second 45 minutes but ended up being held to a goalless draw in front of their home fans.

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 7/10

The Belgian keeper made a few decent saves at the back and earned a well-deserved clean sheet tonight.

RB: Nacho – 6.5/10

The Spaniard made one important clearance when defending inside his half and had a couple of bright moments going forward.

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the pitch and was a real threat inside the opponent’s penalty box.

Rudiger cleared the danger when required and did enough to earn a clean sheet.

He did well to fill in as a makeshift left-back and was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.

CM: Federico Valverde – 7/10

Valverde made two good runs with the ball and engineered some decent chances for others around him.

CM: Toni Kroos – 7.5/10

He anchored the midfield with conviction and had a couple of strikes at goal.

CM: Dani Ceballos – 8/10

The Spaniard earned the ball back twice and caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders.

RW: Rodrygo – 7/10

He came back to defend when needed and caused some problems for his marker on the right flank.

ST: Karim Benzema – 7/10

Benzema was a constant menace in the final third but there was no goal for him tonight.

LW: Vinicius Junior – 7.5/10

The Brazilian talent made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball and did everything but score during the game.

Modric offered very little after coming off the bench.

CAM: Marco Asensio – 6.5/10

The Spanish playmaker made one key chance in the final third.
