Manchester City entertained Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in the FA Cup. Pep Guardiola’s men made a bright start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Nathan Ake finally broke the deadlock in the 64th minute which turned out to be the only goal of the game as Man City earned a narrow 1-0 win to progress into the next round of the FA Cup.
Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player fared during the match against the Gunners.

CB: Manuel Akanji – 6.5/10
Akanji performed his defensive duties well and made one key chance in the final third.

CM: Rico Lewis – 7/10
Lewis anchored the midfield well for Man City and engineered one good chance in the final third.
CM: Rodri – 7.5/10
The Spaniard offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and created a couple of inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.

Mahrez struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and was lackluster in the final third. He got substituted in the 57th minute.
CM: Kevin De Bruyne – 6/10
He earned the ball back once but offered very little going forward. De Bruyne hardly had a sniff at goal.

LW: Jack Grealish – 7/10
He had a couple of bright moments in the game and picked up an assist for setting up Ake’s goal.

Haaland caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders but failed to register a goal tonight.

Laporte kept things tidy at the back.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 6.5/10
The Portugal international added some energy to Pep Guardiola’s midfield.
