Manchester City locked horns with Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier today as they hoped to earn a win in the Manchester derby. Pep Guardiola’s men made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Jack Grealish opened the goal-scoring in the derby for Man City with a good finish at the hour mark. However, Man United equalised in the 78th-minute courtesy of Bruno Fernandes’ finish before Marcus Rashford completed the turnaround just four minutes later. The match ended with Man City suffering a disappointing 2-1 loss at the Theatre of Dreams.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester City player performed during the match against Manchester United.

GK: Ederson – 6/10

The Brazilian keeper made a couple of solid saves at the back but conceded two late goals in the game.

RB: Kyle Walker – 6/10

Walker made one key chance in the final third and went close to scoring with a shot from long range.

CB: Manuel Akanji –  7/10

He secured the ball back twice and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Nathan Ake – 6/10

Ake passed the ball well from the back but failed to stop the home side from causing problems late in the game.

CM: Rodri – 6.5/10

Silva made one good run with the ball and came back to defend at times as well.

RW: Riyad Mahrez – 6.5/10

The Algerian sensation made some important defensive contributions but failed to threaten the opposition goal.

ST: Erling Haaland – 6/10

Haaland had a couple of lively moments in the game but failed to register a goal today.

LW: Phil Foden – 6/10

Foden tried his best to cause problems for the opposition defenders but got replaced in the 56th minute.

LW: Jack Grealish – 7/10

He deserves credit for scoring the opening goal in the 56th minute.
