Manchester City entertained Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a positive result at home in the FA Cup. The Mancunian giants made a great start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute when Riyad Mahrez found the back of the net. Julian Alvarez doubled Man City’s advantage from the penalty spot at the half-hour mark before Phil Foden made it 3-0 for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 38th minute. The home side went into the half-time break with a 3-0 lead.
Riyad Mahrez added another goal in the 85th minute when he scored from the penalty spot as Man City secured a comfortable 4-0 win in front of their home fans.

Rodri offered decent protection for his teammates at the back and had a couple of lively moments in the final third.

Foden had some bright moments in the game and managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 38th minute.
RW: Riyad Mahrez – 9/10
The Algerian talent caused all sorts of problems for the Chelsea defenders and has got two goals to his name.
ST: Julian Alvarez – 7.5/10
Alvarez had a good game in the final third and managed to get his name on the scoresheet via the penalty spot in the 30th minute.
LW: Cole Palmer – 6.5/10
He had a few strikes at goal but failed to find the back of the net.
