Liverpool faced off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result on the road. The Reds were poor in the first half and were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Solly Marsch scored the opening goal for the Seagulls in the 46th minute before going on to score again just seven minutes later. Danny Welbeck killed the game off in the 81st minute as the match ended with Liverpool suffering a 3-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the match against the Seagulls.

GK: Alisson Becker – 6/10

The Brazilian keeper made some important saves at the back to keep the scoreline down. However, he was far from convincing today.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6.5/10

He was left vulnerable at the back for most of the game but managed to engineer two good chances in the final third.

CB: Joel Matip – 5/10

Matip made a few clearances during the game but produced a disappointing performance in the second half.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6.5/10

He tried his best to keep things solid at the back and was a threat going forward.

LB: Andrew Robertson – 6.5/10

The Scotland international worked hard at both ends of the field but has got nothing to show for his efforts.

CM: Jordan Henderson – 6/10

Henderson failed to get a stranglehold in the game and was poor in both halves.

CM: Fabinho – 6/10

He didn’t offer enough protection for his teammates at the back.

CM: Thiago Alcantara – 6.5/10

Thiago did his fair share of defending but didn’t influence the game in the final third.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 5.5/10

He struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and failed to threaten the opposition goal.

ST: Cody Gakpo – 6/10

Gakpo had one bright moment in the game but didn’t manage to score a goal.

LW: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6/10

He caused some headaches for the opposition defenders but never looked like he would score.

CM: Naby Keita – 6/10

He made one good chance in the final third.

CB: Joe Gomez – 6/10

Gomez looked shaky at the back.

CM: Harvey Elliott – 6/10

He added some energy to Liverpool’s midfield.

LW: Ben Doak – 6/10

Doak injected some pace into Klopp’s attack.
