Leeds United faced off against Aston Villa at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result on the road. The Whites made a poor start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the third minute when Leon Bailey found the back of the net. The Yorkshire club failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Emiliano Buendia scored just after the hour mark to put Leeds in a world of trouble. The Whites got a goal back via Patrick Bamford’s effort in the 83rd minute. However, Jesse Marsch’s men ended up suffering a disappointing 2-1 loss away from home.
