Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Arsenal for the North London derby on Sunday, hoping to pick up a result in this home encounter. Spurs will come into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory against Portsmouth to seal their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup, so they will be looking to perform better in this weekend’s contest.
Antonio Conte will make use of the 3-4-3 formation and is expected to name a strong starting XI for this game. Harry Kane will continue to lead the charge down the middle while Ivan Perisic replaces Ryan Sessegnon to play from the start.
3-4-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI Vs Arsenal
Defence
Hugo Lloris will continue to feature in between the sticks for Spurs after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Conte could opt for a back three of Christian Romero, Eric Dier and Clement Lenglet for this game. All three of them will need to be at their best if the Lilywhites are to keep a clean sheet again this weekend.
Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Yves Bissouma will anchor the midfield for the North London club as they try to dominate possession at the centre of the park.
Matt Doherty will function as the right-sided wide player while Ivan Perisic returns to the left flank. Both of them will be instructed to remain compact defensively and make some overlapping runs out on the flanks.
Emerson Royal and Ryan Sessegnon will be available on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if Conte decides to call upon their services.
Attack
Heung-min Son will continue on the left wing while Bryan Gill hopes to catch the eye from the right flank. As mentioned earlier, Kane will continue to lead the charge for the North London outfit in the final third. He will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net against the opposition backline after netting one the last time out.
Lucas Moura and Richarlison are unlikely to recover in time for the weekend encounter, so Conte will remain without attacking options on the bench.
