Chelsea will take on Crystal Palace as they welcome them to Stamford Bridge on Sunday hoping to grab all three points in this home encounter. The Blues come into the match on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Fulham in their last outing, so they will be hoping to produce a better result this time.
Graham Potter will probably opt for the 3-4-3 formation allowing Kai Havertz to continue leading the line against the opposition. However, Joao Felix misses out on a red card in his debut even though he managed to score one against the opponents. In his absence, Hakim Ziyech is in line to play from the start.
3-4-3 Chelsea Predicted XI Vs Crystal Palace
Defence
Kepa Arrizabalaga will continue to operate in between the sticks for the Blues after conceding two goals in his last outing. Potter will allow Thiago Silva to form the three-man defence with Trevor Chalobah and Kalidou Koulibaly at the heart of the Blues’ backline, as they try to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field throughout the game.
Midfield
Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho will anchor the midfield for the Blues as they look to dominate possession at the centre of the park and engineer some decent chances in the final third.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Marc Cucurella will continue at the right and left flank out in the wide positions, respectively, looking to get forward to stretch the opposition in attack and keeping their shape defensively.
Conor Gallagher and Dennis Zakaria might come on in the second half to impact the game if Potter calls upon their services.
Attack
As mentioned earlier, Hakim Ziyech will play from the start operating in the right-wing while Mason Mount should start at the opposite flank. Both of them will take responsibility for creating some inviting chances for Chelsea in front of the goal and provide support from the wide areas.
Kai Havertz will continue to spearhead the West London club’s attack up top. He will have to find a way to cause a few headaches for the opposition centre-backs this Sunday.
