Danjuma’s Unimpressive Numbers In Spanish Football
Danjuma has struggled to give a good account of himself for the Yellow Submarine this season. He has just found the back of the net twice in ten league matches for his current employers during this campaign across multiple competitions.
The Dutch talent needs to find a way to influence the game a bit more on the attacking end of the field as he is averaging 1.2 shots and 0.5 key passes per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has struggled to be accurate with his link-up play in the opponent’s half after completing 74.7% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).
Danjuma has failed to be prolific in front of the opponent’s goal, so a switch to Everton could be an appealing move for the player this month as long as he is confident about finding success in English football.
What Will Danjuma Bring To Everton?
Danjuma is proficient at creating space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play a decisive pass in the final third but needs to complete some dribbles in and around the opponent’s penalty box. The Dutch talent needs to find a way to improve his offensive productivity if he wants to be a success story at Everton. He is primarily a striker but can also function as a wide player on either flank if asked to do so.
There is no doubt that Danjuma will bring more pace and energy to the Merseyside club‘s attacking department and increase competition for places within their match-day squad.
At the moment, Frank Lampard is in dire need of adding more firepower to his attack. Thus, it makes sense for the Toffees to engineer a move to bring Danjuma to the northwest of England before the end of this winter transfer window.
However, there are some question marks over whether the Dutch sensation can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football. Still, Lampard should think about going all out to sign Danjuma as he could help Everton challenge across all competitions in the coming seasons.
