Chelsea entertained Manchester City at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they looked to grind out a good result at home. The Blues were solid in the first half and managed to get into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
However, Riyad Mahrez came off the bench and managed to net the opening goal in the 63rd minute for Man City. The West London outfit failed to mount a comeback and crashed to a tough 1-0 loss in front of their home fans.

The Spanish keeper made two good saves at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet tonight.

The Brazilian talent used his experience well to clear the danger when needed. He was also tidy with his passing.

He won a couple of aerial duels but there was no clean sheet for him tonight.

Cucurella was a solid presence on the defensive third of the pitch. He got replaced in the 67th minute.

He anchored the midfield well and made some decent runs with the ball.
CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6.5/10
Kovacic offered decent protection for his teammates at the back but failed to influence the game in the final third.
RW: Hakim Ziyech – 6/10
He had a couple of bright moments in the game but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

Sterling picked up an injury and got replaced in the sixth minute.

Havertz created some inviting openings for others around him and did his fair share of defending.
