Vieira And Nketiah Get 8.5 | Arsenal Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Oxford United

Arsenal faced off against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result in the FA Cup. The Gunners were the dominant team in the first half but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

The Gunners were better in the second half and managed to net the opening goal in the 63rd minute when Mohamed Elneny found the back of the net. Eddie Nketiah doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 70th minute before going on to score again just six minutes later. The contest ended with Arsenal securing a dominant 3-0 win on the road.

Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the match against Oxford United.

GK: Matt Turner – 7.5/10

He made a few important saves at the back and did enough to secure a clean sheet tonight.

RB: Takehiro Tomiyasu – 7.5/10

Tomiyasu gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and made one key chance down the right flank.

CB: Rob Holding – 7.5/10

The English centre-back won his fair share of aerial duels and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Gabriel – 7.5/10

The Brazilian talent cleared his lines when needed and made one good run with the ball.

LB: Kieran Tierney – 6.5/10

He didn’t do much wrong at the back and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Fabio Vieira – 8.5/10

Viera managed to create a few excellent chances for his teammates in the final third and has got two assists to show for his efforts.

CM: Mohamed Elneny – 7.5/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch and managed to score the opener in the 63rd minute.

CM: Albert Sambi Lokonga – 6.5/10

He was solid at the back and was a strong presence in the air.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 7/10

Saka had a few bright moments in the game but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

ST: Eddie Nketiah – 8.5/10

Nketiah was a constant menace in the final third and scored two quick-fire goals in the second half.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 7.5/10

Martinelli managed to engineer some good chances for his teammates and ended the game with an assist to his name.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – 6/10

Zinchenko was accurate with his passing.

CM: Granit Xhaka – 6.5/10

He made one important clearance at the back

LW: Emile Smith Rowe – 6/10

He offered very little after coming off the bench.

White kept things solid at the back.

He hardly had any time to influence the game.
