Portugal clashed heads with Morocco at the Al Thumama Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a positive result in the quarterfinal stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Portuguese players made a solid start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 42nd minute when Youssef En-Nesyri scored with a good header. Fernando Santos’ men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Portugal struggled to be decisive in the final third and crashed to a narrow 1-0 loss which knocked them out of the World Cup.

Ramos struggled to make an impact and was replaced in the 68th minute.
