Newcastle United locked horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a win on their travels in the Premier League. The Magpies made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the third minute courtesy of Chris Wood’s penalty. Miguel Almiron doubled Newcastle’s advantage just four minutes later with a good strike before Joelinton made the points secure in the 32nd minute with a solid header. The Tyneside outfit went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.
Newcastle controlled the game well in the second half and cruised to an impressive 3-0 win on the road.

The Brazilian talent anchored the midfield well and caused a lot of problems for the opposition defenders. He ended the game with an assist to his name.
CM: Joe Willock – 7/10
Willock had some bright moments in the opponent’s half but failed to register a goal.
RW: Miguel Almiron – 8/10
Almiron managed to shine at times during the game and managed to double his team’s lead in the seventh minute.
ST: Chris Wood – 7.5/10
The English striker kept his calm to score his penalty but offered very little in the second half.
LW: Joelinton – 9/10
The Brazilian talent worked his socks off at both ends of the field and has even got a goal to his name. He just about deserves to be awarded the man of the match.
