Leeds United entertained Manchester City at Elland Road earlier tonight as they looked to grind out a result at home in the Premier League. The Whites made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the first half injury-time when Rodri scored with a simple finish. Leeds went into the half-time interval 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Erling Haaland scored a quick brace in the second 45 minutes which put the Yorkshire giants all but out of the contest. Pascal Struijk got some pride back for Leeds when he scored in the 73rd minute. However, Jesse Marsch’s side ended up suffering a poor 3-1 loss in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player fared during the match against Man City.

GK: Illan Meslier – 7/10

He made a few important saves at the back but still ended up conceding three goals tonight.

RB: Rasmus Kristensen – 6/10

Kristensen tried his best to keep things solid at the back and got replaced after the hour mark.

CB: Robin Koch – 6/10

He did his fair share of defending but failed to keep the Man City attackers quiet.

CB: Liam Cooper – 5/10

Cooper was far from convincing on the defensive end of the field and did well to last 71 minutes.

CM: Sam Greenwood – 6.5/10

He was lively at both ends of the field and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Marc Roca – 5.5/10

He made two encouraging runs with the ball but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.

RW: Rodrigo – 6/10

Rodrigo made one decent chance in the final third but never looked like he would score.

ST: Brenden Aaronson – 6.5/10

Aaronson had two lively moments in the opposition half and was accurate with his passing.

Gnonto caused some problems for his marker but didn’t do enough to score.

RB: Luke Ayling – 6/10

He made one encouraging run with the ball.

Klich struggled to get into the flow of the game.
