Spain faced off against Germany at the Al Bayt Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn another positive result in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Spaniards made a dominant start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Alvara Morata came off the bench and finally netted the opening goal in the 62nd minute when he scored with a brilliant finish. However, the Germans equalised in the 83rd minute courtesy of Niclas Fullkrug’s powerful strike. The contest ended with Spain being held to a 1-1 draw in Qatar.

Alba did his fair share of defending and engineered a couple of decent chances in the final third. He has got an assist to his name for setting up Morata’s goal.
CM: Gavi – 6.5/10
The Barcelona midfielder got stuck in with some solid tackles but failed to influence the game in the final third.
CM: Sergio Busquets – 6.5/10
Busquets tried his best to anchor the midfield for Spain and had two lively moments in the opponent’s half.
CM: Pedri – 6.5/10
He earned the ball back twice and completed one good dribble with the ball.
RW: Ferran Torres – 6/10
Torres lacked quality in front of the German goal and was replaced early in the second half.
ST: Marco Asensio – 6/10
The Spaniard had a couple of bright moments in the game but never looked like he would score.

Dani Olmo had some bright moments in the game and was too selfish in the final third.
