Real Madrid welcomed Celtic at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure another win in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the sixth minute courtesy of Luka Modric’s penalty. Rodrygo doubled the home team’s advantage from the penalty spot as well just 15 minutes later. Real Madrid went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Marco Asensio made it 3-0 to Los Blancos in the 51st minute before Vinicius Junior got his name on the scoresheet just ten minutes later. Federico Valverde added another goal in the 71st minute when he found the back of the net with a perfect finish. Jota got a goal back for Celtic late in the game but Real Madrid ended up securing a comfortable 5-1 win at home.
