In a recent report, Bolavip stated that Newcastle United have set their sights on Santos whizkid Angelo Gabriel. It is understood that the Magpies are hoping to build for the future and are prepared to launch a move for the Brazilian winger.

Angelo’s Rapid Rise In Brazilian Football

At the tender age of 17, Angelo has already managed to establish himself as an important member of Santos’ starting XI. The Brasilia-born talent has made 97 senior appearances for the Brazilian club this season, netting three goals and picking up nine assists in various competitions.

The South American sensation prospect has shown his knack for creating some decent chances for others around him in the Brazilian Serie A where he has secured seven assists this season.

Angelo is under contract at the Brazilian club until December 2024. Therefore, it makes sense for Newcastle United to make a move and test Santos’ resolve next year.

Newcastle United Have Set Their Sights On Angelo Gabriel: Is He A Star In The Making?

Angelo is a technically gifted winger who can make some dangerous runs with the ball out on the flanks. He comes alive when left isolated in a 1v1 foot race with the opposition and has got the vision to engineer some meaningful openings for his teammates on the attacking end of the field. The Brazilian youngster can even score the odd goal from time to time but is still quite inexperienced at the highest level. He is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a left-winger if told to do so.

Still, there is no denying that Angelo has the potential to become a real gem of a player in the future. Hence, he will be a massive signing for Newcastle United in the long run as he could develop into a world-class wide player under the guidance of Eddie Howe at St. James’ Park.

The 17-year-old is already good enough to challenge for a regular starting spot at the Tyneside club as long as he can make a smooth transition to life in Premier League football. With all things considered, Angelo is definitely a star in the making, so the Magpies will do well to lure him to England in 2023. However, it remains to be seen whether the youngster has what it takes to cope with the physical nature and high intensity of Premier League football.
