Newcastle United locked horns with Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points on the road. The Magpies made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 35th minute courtesy of Miguel Almiron’s decent finish. The Tyneside club went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Chris Wood doubled Newcastle’s advantage in the 58th minute before Joe Willock put the contest to bed just four minutes later.
