Chelsea entertained Arsenal at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the London derby. The Blues struggled to get a foothold in the game in the first half and were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.

Gabriel managed to open the goal-scoring for the Gunners when he found the back of the net from close range. Graham Potter’s men failed to come up with a response and crashed to a narrow 1-0 defeat at home.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player fared during the match against the Gunners.

GK: Edouard Mendy – 6/10

The Senegalese keeper made one solid save during the game but won’t be happy after conceding the only goal of the game just after the hour mark.

RB: Cesar Azpilicueta – 7/10

The Spaniard gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and made one good run with the ball.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 6.5/10

Chalobah made some important contributions on the defensive end of the field and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Thiago Silva – 6.5/10

The Brazilian talent earned the ball back twice and didn’t hesitate to clear the danger when needed. However, he didn’t do enough to keep a clean sheet.

LB: Marc Cucurella – 6.5/10

The Spaniard performed his defensive duties well but struggled to influence the game in the final third.

CM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 6/10

He made a couple of solid tackles and was tidy with his ball distribution. However, his impact on the game was minimal in the opponent’s half.

CM: Jorginho – 6/10

The Italy international tried his best to protect his backline but was sloppy on the ball.

RW: Raheem Sterling – 6/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the final third but didn’t do enough to get his name on the scoresheet.

CAM: Kai Havertz – 6.5/10

Havertz came back to defend when needed and engineered one good chance in the Arsenal half. However, he could last only 63 minutes before being replaced.

LW: Mason Mount – 6/10

The English sensation had a quiet game in the final third and never looked like he would score today.

ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 6/10

Aubameyang hardly got a sniff at goal against his old club and did well to last 63 minutes.

ST: Armando Broja – 6/10

Broja failed to threaten the Arsenal goal.

CM: Conor Gallagher – 6/10

He struggled to make an impact off the bench.

CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6/10

Kovacic added some steel to Potter’s midfield.

LW: Christian Pulisic – 6/10

He failed to get into the rhythm of the game.
