Barcelona welcomed Almeria at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they looked to earn maximum points in front of their home fans. The Catalan outfit made a dominant start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.

Ousmane Dembele opened the goal-scoring just three minutes into the second half before Frenkie de Jong made the points secure in the 62nd minute. The contest ended with Barcelona earning an impressive 2-0 win at home.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 7/10

The German keeper made one good save in the game and secured an easy clean sheet tonight.

Pedri anchored the midfield with conviction and was good on the ball as well.

Busquets got stuck in with a few tackles and picked up an assist as well. He got replaced in the 67th minute.

CM: Frenkie de Jong – 8/10

De Jong engineered a lot of decent opportunities for others around him and made some encouraging runs with the ball. He got his name on the scoresheet just after the hour mark.

RW: Ousmane Dembele – 8/10

The Frenchman caused a lot of headaches for the Almeria defenders and opened the goal-scoring early in the second half which gave Barca the platform to go on and secure the win.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 6.5/10

Lewandowski was a constant menace in front of the opposition’s goal but couldn’t take any of his chances.

LW: Ferran Torres – 7/10

Torres caused a lot of problems for his marker and did everything but score during his time on the field.

He added more pace to Xavi’s attack.

CM: Gavi – 6/10

The Spaniard added more energy to Barca’s midfield.

He had a couple of lively moments in the final third.
